Scope

The present document constitutes SERTI’s global policy on privacy and data protection. It applies to all personal and operational information and data SERTI holds on its members, sub-contractors and its customers. All users must read, understand and apply it.

Confidentiality of personal information

Your privacy is important to SERTI. This statement discloses the privacy and data protection practices for SERTI’s Web sites, including what type of information is collected, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.

Purpose

While exercising its right to collect, use and disclose personal information and data for legitimate business purposes, SERTI commits to protect the personal and operational information and data and maintain strict rules of conduct to lower the likelihood of:

SERTI Human Resources Web Site (including Recruitment)

In connection with a job application or inquiry, whether advertised on a SERTI Web site or otherwise, you may provide us with information about yourself, such as a resume or curriculum vitae. You therefore allow SERTI to use this information throughout SERTI for the purpose of employment consideration. SERTI will disclose no information to any third parties unless you have expressly authorized it. SERTI will keep the information for future consideration, except if you request that we do not keep your file.

Sanctions

Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, which will be proportional to the seriousness of the behaviour concerned. Vice Presidents responsible for business units or corporate functions are responsible to decide on the proper course of action in case of a breach to this policy. The Vice-President Finance & Operations is the designated SERTI Privacy and Data Protection Officer.

The links to third party sites are provided as a convenience to you. These links are established in agreement with the concerned sites at a time when SERTI has considered it opportune, in consideration of their content and services.

SERTI cannot be held responsible for information and material found on sites and for the usage from its users.

SERTI undertakes to do all that is possible to ensure access to the site at all times. SERTI cannot be held liable, in the event the site is unavailable, for any reason whatsoever.
